When George Raie entered the medical device industry, he recognized an opportunity to fundamentally change how healthcare providers were supported across Canada. Rather than simply repairing equipment or supplying products, George envisioned a company that would become a trusted extension of every healthcare facility it served. One that would be capable of delivering world-class technology, technical expertise, and unwavering reliability in a monopolized market.

That journey began more than 40 years ago. As a biomedical engineer educated in Egypt at the Shoubra University of Engineering, George Raie built his career on a deep understanding of engineering principles, biomechanics, and the intricate relationship between technology and patient care.

In the late 80s, George worked with some of the first modern models of endoscopes in Egypt’s rapidly growing healthcare space. His education provided the foundation for an opportunity to immigrate to Canada in the early 90s, where he continued pursuing his passion for medical technology and established himself within the highly specialized field of endoscopy.

George Raie has worked with and improved service and repair quality in world-class companies across the globe, including major pioneers, Karl Storz, Olympus, and Fujinon. His defining work reached Germany, Switzerland, Austria, China, and later into North America where he worked with SciCan and trained under KaVo for nearly a decade. Rather than accepting the limitations of conventional medical equipment support, George set out to build a company that would raise the standard for the entire industry in the Canadian healthcare space.

That vision became Endoch Medical.

Over 20 years, George Raie has guided the company’s evolution from a specialized service provider into a comprehensive medical technology organization serving hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals across Canada and beyond. Through strategic leadership, technical excellence, and a relentless pursuit of quality, George has established a culture where innovation is measured not only by new technologies, but by the lasting value created for every customer and every patient ultimately impacted by Endoch’s work.

With an exceptional ability to mentally construct detailed mechanical assemblies and “exploded” component views in real time, he quickly identifies how each part interacts within the whole—often recognizing root causes and engineering solutions long before disassembly begins.

This systems-thinking approach has become a defining characteristic of his leadership. Whether designing new products, diagnosing complex endoscope failures, or improving manufacturing processes, he approaches every challenge with analytical precision and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. His ability to bridge engineering theory with practical innovation has been instrumental in shaping Endoch Medical into a company recognized for technical excellence, quality, and forward-thinking solutions.

Endoch has expanded beyond endoscopy repair services to include OEM advanced medical technologies, Canadian GI instruments, custom stainless-steel fabrication, preventative maintenance programs, and strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations across Canada and internationally.
